Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how My Echo Path LLC ("we," "us," "our") handles your information when you use the MyEchoVerdict mobile application and myechoverdict.com (together, the "Service"). MyEchoVerdict helps you record a decision you're weighing and receive an AI-generated counter-argument, then record the outcome.
In short: we collect what we need to run the Service, we use an AI provider to generate your challenges, we don't run ads, and we don't sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account or sign in (including via Apple or Google).
- Your decisions — the text you enter or dictate: the decision, belief, or plan you're weighing, your stated reasoning, the challenges generated for you, and any outcomes you later record.
- Settings — your chosen persona, reminder times, and preferences.
- Support messages — anything you send us by email.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data — app version, device type and operating system, and basic diagnostic information used to keep the app working and secure.
- Subscription status — whether you hold an active trial or paid entitlement (managed through the app stores; see Subscriptions).
In the free version, we show banner ads through Google AdMob, which may access your device's advertising identifier. We request non-personalized ads only, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. MyEchoVerdict Pro removes ads. See Advertising below.
How we use your information
- To provide the core loop — store your decisions, generate challenges, and record outcomes.
- To produce Pro features such as the weekly pattern report and calibration score from your own history.
- To send the reminders and verification nudges you enable.
- To authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent abuse.
- To provide customer support and to fix and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service, and, for paid features, on the performance of our contract with you.
AI processing
To generate a challenge, the reasoning you submit is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude API), which processes it to return a counter-argument and returns it to us. This text is used to generate your response and is not used by us to serve ads or sold to anyone. We send only what is needed to produce your challenge. Anthropic processes this data as our service provider under its applicable terms.
Please avoid entering information you would not want processed by an AI provider — for example, government identifiers, payment card numbers, or others' sensitive personal information.
Advertising
The free version of MyEchoVerdict displays banner ads through Google AdMob. We configure AdMob to request non-personalized ads, and we do not use advertising to track you across other companies' apps or websites. AdMob may still collect limited information (such as your advertising identifier and general device data) to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's advertising policies. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings.
Prefer no ads? MyEchoVerdict Pro removes all advertising.
Voice input
When you log a decision by voice, transcription is performed using your device's built-in speech-to-text. The resulting text is handled like any other decision text you enter. We do not upload raw audio recordings to our servers.
Subscriptions & payments
MyEchoVerdict Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store and Google Play. Payment is processed by Apple or Google — we never receive or store your payment card details. We receive only your entitlement status (trial, active, or lapsed) via RevenueCat.
Data retention
We keep your account and decision history for as long as your account is active so the app's history, patterns, and calibration score remain useful to you. When you delete your account, we delete your decisions, outcomes, and profile from our active systems; limited records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, and backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
Your rights & choices
- Access & deletion — you can delete your account and associated data from within the app (Settings), which removes your decisions and profile from our systems.
- Correction — you can edit or remove individual decisions at any time.
- Notifications — turn reminders on or off, and set your own time, in Settings or your device settings.
- Regional rights — depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, contact us below.
Security
We protect your account with encrypted transport, secure credential storage on your device, and optional safeguards you can enable: two-factor authentication, an app lock, and biometric (Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint) unlock. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
Children
MyEchoVerdict is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on this site.
